Word Kintsugi Comes from Japanese Kin (gold) and Tsugi (joint), and therefore literally means: gold joint. The art of the Kintsugi is called the Kintsukuroi, meaning " gold mending». This ancestral art appeared in Japan in the 15th century as a means of repairing in particular the broken pottery which had too much value to be thrown or ignored.
It is a beautiful tradition that celebrates the resilience of life and beauty which can arise from the struggle.
