What is visualization and how can it help you?

When I was in walker and wheelchair for almost 8 years, I put my ice skates for years, my walking shoes, my heel shoes (my great sadness!). All I could then see was the few steps, a few hundred meters at the maximum that I could walk.

I who loved walking in the mountains so much, it was a real heartbreaker. I sometimes took moments when I remembered the memories of the walking camps. I felt the wind on my face, the special smells of the high mountain, the sound of the steps on the paths, I immersed myself with all these sensations that I had experienced before and that made me feel good.

In itself, imagining me remarcher did not heal me, certainly no, but it has contributed on the one hand to put my brain in positive mode, to experience pleasant sensations again, to focus on something that I wanted to feel one day again. And I hoped that one day ... maybe ...

The advantages of visualization: an astonishing power of the brain

Scientific studies prove it, our brain can be programmed, whether positively or negatively. And if you chose to reprogram in growth mode, positive, reconnect with the possible, with joy?

The powers of visualization are attested. They are used in particular for the training of athletes, or hunting or competition drivers. They visualize in advance the gestures performed perfectly, the success of the tests, the victories. Their brain and muscle memory are thus stimulated. Our brain is thus made that it has little difference between imagination and reality. So why deprive yourself of nourishing it with thoughts, positive sensations that will make you feel better mentally and physically?

When you imagine succeeding in something you want to achieve, your brain starts to work so that it happens for good!

Who do you want to be?

This is the question you will have to ask yourself. What character qualities would you like to have? Who do you admire and why? This will give you answers.

Just imagining themselves as a more confident person, mechanically, we change our physical posture. Test! Visualize yourself or whatever you know with full confidence. Something powerful happens when you view yourself healed and restored - it allows you to see more clearly who you are and get closer to your goal. It reminds you that your life is not static; You grow and evolve constantly. You can choose how!

How to practice visualization?

There are 2 types of visualization:

✨ The realistic, in which you project images from real situations (for example seeing you to walk in the mountains or to do such an activity), with the most realistic details as possible, by implementing all the senses

✨ The symbolism using metaphors. For example visualize your problems in the form of a black cloud that moves away from you

It's up to you to find the method that suits you, but thus, you project on your internal screen the film of success or what you would like to see.
